In fact, we did just that for Sundyne Corporation at their International Sales Meeting in Marco Island, Florida, in October, 2008.

The Sundyne International Sales Meeting had been held once every three years in the same local location and conceptual venue. The meeting had grown complacent and wasteful. Hawk3i was given the opportunity to drive significant global synergy and deliver refreshed results to an international group of outside sales partners as well as to their diverse worldwide employee base.

With over 500 attendees from 51 countries, Hawk3i designed a world-class event by:

Marco Island Marriot Resort, home of the Sundyne 2008 International Sales Meeting produced by Hawk3i.  

  • Site selecting a cost effective destination at a world-class resort that would be a draw to not only U.S. attendees but an expedient courtesy to International attendees as well. A major travel hub was desirable and recommended.
  • Developing a contemporary theme and image that was carried throughout the entire event from collateral pieces, signage, communications, web presence, awards, help desks and on-site staging.
  • Producing and managing videos and corporate presentations not only before hand, but also during the event to reinforce desired consistency in messaging / brand.
  • Scheduling outside activities and free-time for both attendees and their guests, to include the coordination of a large golf tournament. Morale, anticipation and excitement for newly introduced corporate initiatives was generated.
  • Re-purposing the Sundyne corporate tradeshow booth as the centerpiece of the general sessions. The dynamic space incorporated products and functioned as a gateway for attendee traffic to experience throughout the event.
  • Engaging relevant industry speakers/entertainers to enhance the overall messaging and energy of the meetings. Topics included Sales Excellence, Economic Forecasts and Product Launches and Demonstrations.
  • The culmination of the event included a well-planned / professionally catered awards dinner where customers, business partners, prospects, VIPs and employees came together in a grand social gala. Awards were delivered and long-lasting sales relationships were refreshed.

Tangible and intangible results from the meeting continue to be measured against ongoing sales performance. A global participant survey initiated by Hawk3i is helping Sundyne evaluate return-on-investment. The global sales meeting is now looked upon as a value-add percentage of annual worldwide revenue and indispensable operational tool in the media mix.
