Don is an innovative marketer who passionately works to make the customer experience exceptional for every project. He is well regarded for taking a unique and creative approach to marketing for every program his team produces. As a business leader he has built a collection of skills in a full range of marketing disciplines and has racked up experience in everything from launching websites, designing effective marketing programs, developing go-to-market programs, filming commercials, designing large events and championing customer first programs.
For over 25 years, Don has been committed to helping organizations market effectively in diverse industries including high-tech, oil and gas, entertainment, communications, health, banking, mining and business training. He started his career at Storage Technology Corporation, a global fortune 500 manufacturing company based in Colorado. He was responsible for leading a large team of marketing professionals to engage worldwide customers and a channel partners in a fast paced high-technology industry.
Don is highly regarded for developing successful strategic marketing programs, planning, project management, event production, product launches and sales conferences in the US, Europe and Asia. His emphasis and passion is leading the design and management of digital marketing and commerce programs. He is an award winning producer, writer, director and cinematographer. He earned a Bachelors degree for industrial scientific photography from the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California.

Susan Hawkinson is the co-owner of Hawk Productions, Inc. Her leadership responsibilities include chief financial officer, director of human resources, and is a highly regarded professional photographer. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial and underwater photography from the world-renowned Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
Over the course of her career Susan has produced exceptional commercial images for clients such as Maverick Ranch Lite Beef, Safeway, Denver University, the City of Golden, and numerous publications. Susan also owns and manages a real estate investment company and is a managing partner of Richlor vineyards in Sonoma County, California. She is fluent in the French language, and leverages her communications and leadership skills as an international flight attendant for American Airlines. Susan raised three very successful children who are attending prestigious universities in California.
G. Mike Smith
Director Brand Development
Mr. Smith has been directing marketing communication specialists, project managers, copywriters, web developers, graphic designers, events planners and media specialists for more than 20 years.
Uniquely focused on revenue generating, brand building communications - G. Mike brings an inherent understanding for today's business challenges and diligently supports all phases of the sales and marketing strategy. Moving a prospect to order and an order to cash through streamlined product life cycles and intuitive user experiences is G's passion.
Prior to becoming Director of Brand Development at HAWK3i, G. Mike managed a number of creative teams and has produced a variety of traditional content, sales tools, web sites and electronic media for various design firms, advertising agencies and previously Sun Microsystems (subsequently acquired by Oracle Corporation) in Colorado, where he led the development team and content management for the Sun Indirect Channel Deal Registration Program. His reputation for delivering a memorable creative blend of usable, commercialized solutions is well-regarded globally.
Mike received a BFA Degree in Design Communications and Minor in Illustration from Texas Tech University. His work continues to earn distinctions of merit for creative excellence.
Mike Dean, (MBA, CBC)

As an accomplished business-to-business marketing professional, Mike has been instrumental in developing highly effective experiential marketing events and maintaining high value product web content and sales tools for Hawk3i clients.
Before joining Hawk3i in 2007, Mike successfully founded Wellspring Marketing, Inc. Increasing client sales by 30% in its first year helped bring the company to profitability very quickly. His experience in marketing management includes various positions over the years including Global Marketing Manager for a highly successful division of United Technologies Corporation, a Fortune 50 company.
Graduating from Regis University Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration and double minors in Marketing and International Management, Mike's career focus has been on communications and cultural dynamics within the global marketplace.
Mike also holds an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix and university certificates in Total Quality Management and Industrial Illustration. In addition, Mike received his Certified Business Communicator Certificate (CBC) from the Business Marketing Association of America in 2000.
Brooke earned a BA in Art, with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Wyoming in 2014. Along with her schooling, she worked as a Graphic Designer for the Student Affairs Marketing Department at UW. In this position, she was heavily involved with web and print design. Her duties ranged from maintaining the departments website and social media accounts, to designing marketing collateral to support several departments and events across campus.
After earning her degree, Brooke worked as a Graphic Designer and Digital Print Machine Operator for a design and printing company. In this position, Brooke was in charge of design services, and was responsible for setting up and running the digital print machines to produce high quality printed material.
Brooke’s experience has allowed her to become very comfortable in creative design, and has given her the ability to take part in a project from the beginning stages of strategy and concept development, to creating and designing material, to the final stages of digital and print output to be used in the marketing world.
Copywriter & Publicist
Todd Keefe is a publicist and copywriter with more than 20 years of experience. Possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, and a Master’s in Communications, Todd’s approach is based on a thorough understanding of his client’s technology, combined with a journalistic approach to writing and storytelling.
Throughout his career, Todd has worked for large and small public relations agencies, where he has mentored dozens of PR and marketing executives. He spent a decade “on the corporate side,” serving as director of communications for Dublin Ireland-based IONA Technologies, and Rational Software Corporation (now an IBM company; formerly a 2,500 person publicly-traded company with $900 million in annual revenue.). During this time, Todd managed internal marketing teams and PR agencies in the U.S. and in Europe to promote each company’s brand, and to deliver product news and updates to sales channels and directly to customers via the media.
Today, Todd is well known throughout the industry as a storyteller and copywriter with more than 30 bylined articles published in top-tier trade publications that are widely read by OEMs, EPC, distributors and end users. Todd (and his colleagues) offer a continually-refined set of best-practices for events and trade shows that help clients secure face time with the media, and leverage these relationships to cultivate opportunities for bylined articles, white papers, case studies, and numerous forms of press coverage that can be integrated with advertising and lead generation programs.
Todd believes that a publicist must be three things: an expert; a storyteller; and a resource to both clients and the media. Outside of work, Todd is a drummer, a runner (currently training for the Boston Marathon), and he is working on his first book, entitled: “Unleash the Runner in You” which focuses on the inextricable links between exercise, sleep, nutrition, work productivity, and quality of life.
